Another Day

If chance be got to try again
With thought my mind consumed.
To change the past and end regret
A new day thus be bloomed.

But lessons learned on follies blight
Both good and bad reward.
Give heart and soul their character
For that there’s no discord.

While emptiness envelops me
And I’m devoid of will.
To carry on continuing
That life be not a shill.

But changing that which has gone by
To form a new today.
Would surely end up damaging
In some uncertain way.

So chance I’d take, I do not think
Just put the past away.
And worry not what future brings
For that’s another day.
